Can I pay for AJ2025 through a payment plan?
Yes, you can pay by a plan (rather than paying a large amount all at once).
Pay as much or as little as you like – by bank deposit only – as frequently as you like. You simply need to have paid the minimum amount by the required dates of 31 March, 31 July and 30 September 2024. Within a few days of registering, you will receive an invoice with our bank details. We will send you a statement each month detailing your payments and amount still to be paid.
What’s included in the Jamboree fee?
To ensure as many NSW Scouts, Venturer Scouts, Rover Scouts and Leaders can attend AJ2025 as possible, we’ve focused on reducing the cost to attend Jamboree.
The Jamboree fee pays for:
- the use of Maryborough site;
- all day and night activities;
- transport to and from all Jamboree activities;
- all meals and snacks from breakfast through until supper whilst onsite;
- Jamboree merchandise pack including polo shirt, cloth badge, bucket hat, scarf & woggle;
- all entertainment
The NSW Contingent fee pays for:
- a NSW Contingent Kit including roller bag, backpack, water bottle, Unit swap badges and Contingent Badges;
- transport for you and your personal belongings from across NSW to Maryborough and return;
- youth and adult health & wellbeing support during the event;
- transport of your Jamboree Unit’s gear (e.g. tents, cooking equipment etc) to Maryborough and return.
If you ask someone who’s gone to a previous Jamboree, the experience is worth every dollar.

Do I need spending money at the Jamboree?
Everything you need at the Jamboree is provided – including meals, snacks, activities, transport, and awesome night-time entertainment.
That said, Scouts often like to purchase drinks or snacks, buy badges or souvenirs, or purchase gifts to take home to their family. If a Scout is bringing spending money, generally $15 a day is a fair amount.
Some Jamboree Units will ask you to transfer any spending money into the Jamboree Unit’s bank account. Others will ask you to bring cash in an envelope or zip-lock bag with your name clearly written on it. All valuables including cash in often kept in a locked box, and you can ask your Leaders for money as you need it.
