Jambassador Applications Open!

Become a Jambassador for AJ2028

If AJ2025 was one of the best experiences you’ve had in Scouts, this is your chance to keep the Jamboree energy going.

Scouts NSW is looking for young people who attended AJ2025 in Maryborough to become Jambassadors for the next Australian Jamboree, happening in Elmore, Victoria in December 2027 and January 2028.

Jambassadors help spread the word about Jamboree, share what made AJ2025 unforgettable, and encourage more Scouts to get involved in AJ2028.

So… what actually is a Jambassador?

Think of it as being part storyteller, part hype team, part youth representative for Jamboree.

You’ll help promote AJ2028 across Scouts NSW by talking about your own experiences and helping younger Scouts see what Jamboree is really like, beyond the photos and videos.

That could include:

  • Speaking at Group, District or Region events (or webinars)
  • Sharing stories and memories from AJ2025
  • Helping create social media content
  • Answering questions from future participants
  • Building excitement for AJ2028

Who should apply?

You’d be a great fit if you:

  • Attended AJ2025, ideally as a youth participant
  • Still talk about Jamboree way too often (is there such as thing as too much, really?)
  • Enjoy connecting with people
  • Want to build confidence and leadership skills
  • Are excited to help others experience AJ2028

Whether you loved the activities, the friendships, the chaos, the camp food, or just the feeling of being part of something massive, that’s the kind of experience future Scouts want to hear about.

Why become a Jambassador?

Being a Jambassador is a chance to:

  • Grow your leadership and communication skills
  • Meet other passionate Scouts from around NSW
  • Be involved in the lead-up to AJ2028
  • Represent youth voice in promoting Jamboree
  • Stay connected to the AJ community between Jamborees

It’s also a pretty great way to keep the post-Jamboree spirit alive.

Applications are now open

If you’re keen to help shape the road to AJ2028, we’d love to hear from you.

AJ2028 starts now.

Help us design the next Contingent badge!

The NSW Contingent is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from creative members of the Scouting community to design a new logo for the NSW Contingent attending the next Australian Jamboree.

This logo will represent NSW Scouts throughout the Jamboree and may be used across a range of materials including merchandise, communications, and promotional items.

Design Guidelines

Submitted designs should:

  • Represent Scouting – Reflect the values, spirit, and identity of the Scouting movement
  • Represent NSW – Include elements that clearly connect the design to NSW
  • Incorporate the NSW colour of blue – Blue should be a key colour within the design.

What We’re Looking For

Designs should be:

  • Clear and recognisable
  • Suitable for use on clothing, badges, signage, and digital media
  • Original work created by the person submitting the design

Who Can Apply

Expressions of Interest are welcome from members of the Scouting community, including youth members, Leaders, and supporters with an interest in design.

Submission

Please submit:

  • A visual concept or draft of your logo
  • A short description explaining the meaning behind your design and how it reflects Scouting and NSW

Designs can be uploaded to the form via the button below, or emailed to Mitch.Stubbs@nsw.scouts.com.au

Deadline for submission of designs is Tuesday 31 March 2026.

Idea submissions are welcome from members of the NSW Scouting community, including youth members, Leaders or supporters.

Submissions will be reviewed by the NSW Contingent Management Team, who will select the design that best represent the NSW Scouts attending the Australian Jamboree. They might even select many ideas and combine them together!

The successful designer will receive recognition from the NSW Contingent and their design will become the official logo used by the Contingent for the next Jamboree.
