Administrative team members are there to support the overall administrative requirements of the NSW Contingent as well as providing hands on support.
Pre Jamboree
- Provide administrative assistance across all areas of the NSW Contingent. This may involve minute taking, meeting preparation, email and phone communications and report preparation.
At the Jamboree
- Support the NSW Contingent in all areas including, transport of people and gear, functions, Contingent activities and other administrative tasks as required.
Post the Jamboree
- Complete outstanding documentation and wrap up reports as required.
The logistics team members are responsible for assisting the members of the NSW Contingent and be subject matter experts within the logistics or sites and services space. Experience at a Jamboree or major event would be beneficial for this role.
Pre Jamboree
- Attend unit pre-Jamboree camps where possible.
- Assist in the creation of the NSW gateway and Contingent activity.
- Assist in packing weekend and working bees.
- Liaise with Unit Leaders and provide advice on new and existing equipment that will best support units at the Jamboree.
At the Jamboree
- Provide support to setup the NSW Contingent HQ site.
- Assist with arrival and departure of the NSW Contingent.
- Support Units with any camping or logistics enquiries.
- Respond to the needs of the Contingent as required.
Post the Jamboree
- Assist in unpacking weekend and return of gear to suppliers.
- Contribute to the final report.
The Health and Wellbeing team members support the NSW Contingent to ensure all members have the best Jamboree possible! Ideally you have experience at a previous Jamboree, have completed the Scouts NSW Youth Safe Advocate training and Mental Health First Aid.
Pre Jamboree
- Attend unit pre-Jamboree camps where possible.
- Attend information days, training sessions and provide information to units on Health and Wellbeing matters.
- Liaise with parents, leaders and other members of the contingent to provide guidance and support in relation to Scouts with additional needs, dietary requirements or any other aspects that could impact their Jamboree experience.
At the Jamboree
- Provide support to the Health and Wellbeing team including, reporting and liaison between the NSW Contingent and other Jamboree areas.
- Be a point of contact between the NSW Contingent and Jamboree Medical Centre as required.
- Provide transport to Contingent members if required.
- Escalate issues to the Director as soon as practicable.
Post the Jamboree
- Complete all outstanding reporting that is required.
- Contribute to the final report.
The Social Media Lead is responsible for the digital platforms – Instagram and Facebook and responding to enquiries received on these platforms. You will need to be able to capture and use the Scouts NSW voice in how messages are written and how to respond to parents and stakeholders. Selecting images or videos and matching them to the right details will also be important. You will have experience in managing social media platforms and be willing to work with the State Service Centre on the social media plan for AJ2028.
Pre Jamboree
- Manage the social media platforms to create engagement with our members and contribute to achievement of attendance targets.
- Support the Scouts NSW team in the management of the NSW Contingent website.
At the Jamboree
- Select images to post on social media, ensuring that posts represent the spirit of the event.
- Ensure that social media platforms are watched, and messages are responded to in a timely manner.
- Work as part of the Marketing and Media team in shifts.
Post the Jamboree
- Contribute to the final report
- Upload all photos to the Scouts NSW shared drives
- Be available for up to 6 weeks following the event to manage any enquiries
- Hand over the media accounts to the State Service Centre.
Photographers will be taking images that will be used in print and digital media platforms in the lead up to, for the duration of and in the immediate post period of the Jamboree. These images will document the event and help create long-term memories of the Jamboree experience. Photos are also used by Scouts NSW post the event to promote Scouting. Ideally you have experience in photography or demonstrated capabilities in capturing action images.
Pre Jamboree
- Attend events in the lead up to Jamboree to promote the NSW Contingent and attendance at the Jamboree.
- Support the NSW Contingent as required.
At the Jamboree
- Play part of a team of photographers that will work in shifts to ensure that all aspects of the Jamboree are photographed and documented.
- Assist in the editing and labelling of photographs.
- Post on social media if requested.
- All images and photos captured will belong to Scouts NSW.
Post the Jamboree
- Contribute to the final report.
- Upload all photos to the Scouts NSW shared drives.
The videographer will be taking videos that will be used on our digital media platforms in the lead up to, for the duration of and in the immediate post period of the Jamboree. These videos will document the event and help create long-term memories of the Jamboree experience. Any vision captured are also used by Scouts NSW post the event to promote Scouting. Ideally you have experience in videography or demonstrated capabilities in capturing video.
